While driving home, Michael rescues a mysterious woman from the ex-husband who was stalking her. They quickly fall in love with one another–but Mike breaks it off when he finds out Amanda’s not actually divorced from her husband, Noah Burke. Later, Michael answers another distress call from Amanda, where he shoots Noah in self defense–but soon finds himself arrested for murder.
